Welcome to Moduflex Custom Rigs! Born from MD Rich Blunden’s passion for fitness, our team at MCR has grown with a shared commitment to health and innovation at its core. We are pioneers in custom gym rig and equipment storage design, creating bespoke solutions for gyms around the UK.

Located in Avonmouth, UK, we are dedicated to minimising our carbon footprint. We utilise locally sourced materials and make our products with up to 100% renewable energy from our solar panels.
Our History
2016 – Approached by Crossfit Avon for a custom solution, MD Rich Blunden manufactured the first bespoke gym rig through his manufacturing company Moduflex. He realised that there was an essential demand for custom rigs due to the unique requirements of different fitness centres. With the ability to fill this gap in the market, Rich created Moduflex Custom Rigs.
2017 – Battle of the Bristol Boxes, we had a small stall selling branded peg boards and smaller pieces of kit manufactured in our Avonmouth factory.
2018 – When handstand ramps were announced for CrossFit Regionals, MCR responded with a design the very next day, distributing ramps to top athletes across the UK and Europe. That same year, our handstand ramps were used in competition for the first time at the IF3 World Champs in London.
2019 – FRF UK Finals at the University of Bath Sports Village.
2020 – Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we designed and manufactured squat racks, wall-mounted pull-up bars, and other home gym equipment, helping Britain stay active during lockdown.
2022 – The APEX competition rig made its debut at the Liverpool Fitness EXPO.
2023 – We proudly became the Lead Equipment Sponsor of Strength in Depth.
